The Whitesburg Lodge # 754 F. & A.M. and
the Hester Chapter of the OES held their
annual Christmas Party Friday night.
There was over 100-plus Brothers, Sisters,
family members, and friends in attendance
to celebrate the Christmas holiday.
The night began with a traditional
Christmas meal of baked ham with all the
trimmings and a spread of delicious
desserts. Following the meal, the OES
entertained the crowd with their annual
Christmas skit in full costume and props.
Other entertainment included singing
performances by Sarah Bentley and
several other children of Lodge members.
But the keystone event of the night
belonged to the visit of Santa Clause to the
Lodge. Many boys and girls had long
awaited the arrival of Santa on the rooftop
of the Lodge. Every child got the
opportunity to tell Santa what they wanted
for Christmas, get their photo with Santa,
and come away with a plentiful treat bag
filled with fruit, nuts, and candy.
On behalf of every Master Mason of
Whitesburg 754, I would like to thank all
OES and Lodge members who prepared
the meal, decorated the dining hall, and
provided the entertainment and Santa. The
evening was a huge success and great
deal of fun.
