Master’s Masonic Message (AUGUST)
CLUTCH-(noun) a crucial moment in a critical situation. My brothers,
I can only think of this word when I think of this month of August. With
the deadline for the Excellency Award approaching I am very anxious
to see if we are going to be able to attain this award. I feel that I have
done just about everything I can on my end of the award, but brothers
the time has come for you to step up to the plate and knock the ball
out of the stadium. We need to visit one more lodge with at least three
members and three of the top four officers including myself. I believe
we will do this at the RAVEN ROCK Third Degree which is August 9th,
2008. Brothers we will also be conducting all sections of the
FELLOWCRAFT DEGREE (stairway lecture) at our first meeting of
August. Lodge will be opening at approximately 6:45 to ensure that
the all sections and lodge business is taken care of properly. And I
need all officers to have turned in their proficiency by the 15th of
August, just about all have done this already.
My brothers last month was yet another great month for masonry
for our lodge. Degree was has been put on, brothers have been
elected to take degrees, and we have had pretty good refreshments.
The month of July not only marked my son turning two years old, me
turning 27 years old, but also meant that as of July 3rd 2003, I have
been a MASON. Just five years ago I knocked on that door, and now
I'm conferring the degree work.
Brothers in closing, and yes I said closing. I know that some of you
are shocked, but I am very focused in OUR LODGE attaining that
award, and the time now comes for us to take it. Brother we have
plenty of forms for our Cornerstone Walkway and the construction will
soon begin. Again this is not just opened to brother masons but to our
community, and they are available in the "IN HONOR OF", "IN
MEMORY OF", dates of your initiation, passed, raised, and lodge
name, and past master year and lodge name. Brothers if you didn't
know it, my main project is honor the past masters of this lodge by
being able to purchase each and every one of our past masters with a
PAST MASTERS APRON. Once the aprons are purchased the funds
from the bricks will go toward the upkeep of the lodge in itself.
Brothers also August 9th is the RAVEN ROCK outdoor third degree
with activities beginning at 3:30 at the Kingdom Come State Park
shelter close to the ROCK. Brothers WE are putting on the degree
again this year at the request of the Fields Lodge. I would like for all
that can attend to attend. Also, we have two bicycles to give away.
Brothers if you have any spare shoe boxes at your house please bring
them to the lodge for the purpose of making them into registration
boxes. These boxes will be placed throughout the county and one boy
and one girl will be very happy with their bicycle come September.
I would like to announce that seven brothers representing five
different lodges came together to discuss the forming of a chapter of
the Widow Sons Masonic Motorcycle Riding Association. When we get
this charter there will be plenty more information to follow. But my

Also, there will be a re-dedication of KRYPTON LODGE 905 on
August 24th at 2:00 PM. Master Henry Spencer told me that he
wanted as many of our members there that could attend. Brothers
continue to shine that light outside the doors of the lodge, help a
brother in need, and come out to the meetings. "FROM THE CRAFT I
CAME AND TO THE CRAFT I WILL RETURN."
